Photographer retains full copyright of material. Each entrant assumes responsibility of content of all images submitted and assumes all responsibilities of trademark and other copyright infringements. Each entrant must submit original works. Each entrant may only submit 1 photo per monthly online photography contest. Offensive or inappropriate images will not be accepted. Images that are not properly formatted will not be accepted.
Quality Standards:
Though we like to give everyone a chance to participate in our contests, we do have a level of quality standards. If the photo you submit is low quality, low resolution, out of focus etc.. it may not be accepted into the contest.
Voting:
Photos are voted on solely by the visitors to the site. The photograph with the most votes will win the contest. Votes are logged by IP address, therefore multiple attempts to vote on the same photograph by the same individual will be automatically blocked.
Submissions:
Color and B&W photographs are allowed. Images should be JPEGs that are no larger than 5MB. Photographs can not have any watermarks or captions.
Winnings:
The 1st and 2nd place winner's photo will be placed on our winners page with a link to their online portfolio. Photographers who are expected to have cheated, or used automated voting will be disqualified.
Liability:
May the Best Photo Win neither assumes nor bears any responsibility for any form or type of loss, damage, or injury incurred as a result of participating in the contest and receiving of awards and/or prizes. Content of all images submitted is the responsibility of each entrant. It is the responsibility of each entrant to obtain all model and/or property releases. By submitting images each entrant assures that all images are their original works and no copyright and/or trademark infringement rights have been violated. It is not the responsibility of May the Best Photo Win to obtain model and/or property release forms or to assure/examine protection of trademark infringement rights.
Reproduction/Email:
If you submit a photo, May The Best Photo Win reserve the right to free reproduction of entered images in all media, but only in connection with this contest. The copyright will, at all times, be respected by MTBPW and retained by the photographer. Where an image or images are reproduced by MTBPW, the photographer will be credited. May the Best Photo Win reserves the right send emails promoting the contest. We hate spam too, so if you don't want to receive it, simply just opt out in the email.
