May The Best Photo Win is a free photography competition dedicated to exposing talented photographers around the globe.

We are trying to create a genuine and free opportunity for everyone and anyone to publish their photography online. We encourage you to submit your image to the contest, and let your friends and family, as well as the public vote on the photo they think is the best.

F.A.Q.

Why was my photo not accepted into the contest?

All submissions are reviewed by experienced photographers looking for aesthetic quality and quality of image. Various reasons may cause a photo to be passed on including:

• Low quality (low resolution, out of focus etc.)

• Distastefulness (crude, nudity etc.)

• Incorrect formatting (doesn't fit formatting guidelines shown in submission screen.)

Unfortunately we can't give individual feedback due to the volume of submissions we receive.

I just submitted my photo, why is it not on the site?

Each photo must be approved before it is posted to ensure it passes our quality standards. We try to have submissions processed within 24 hours of receiving the submission, so please be patient. If you have not received an email within 24 hours of your submission, feel free to contact us.

How do I get votes on my photo?

One of the best ways to get votes on your photo is to use social networking sites. Post a link to www.maythebestphotowin.com on your facebook, twitter, flickr, tumblr etc. and tell friends and family to vote for your photo!

If I win, what do I win?

If your photo receives the most votes it will be placed on the winner's page with a link to your portfolio, as well as posted on our Flickr, Facebook and Twitter.

Can I vote multiple times on the same photo?

The short answer, no. In order to dissuade vote stuffing, each person is only able to vote once on an image. This is tracked by individual IP address and any additional votes on the same image will not be counted.
